A Chinese Military Hospital Develops Artificial Skin for Transplants

Health InfoA Chinese military hospital in the city of Xian (Midwest) has developed artificial skin transplants may be used in large areas of damaged skin, according to the state newspaper “China Daily”.

The medical breakthrough was presented by Professor Jin Yan, Military Medical University in China Number Four, who posed for journalists in military uniform and a sample of this new skin, white.

Professor Jin said that the artificial skin has two layers, and the human (dermis and epidermis) plus active cells that can grow rapidly in a human body without your immune system will reject it.

Jin said that progress will be very useful in treating patients burned or ulcers, skin problems in the Asian country every year affecting more than 15 million people.

So far, these lesions were treated with skin grafts, or other patients, or other affected body parts.
